The Olive Tree in lockdown – test

Thank you for visiting our webpage
How are you doing?

Lockdown is tough on us all and whilst we can’t yet bring you news of when we will be opening we like to think our takeaway and delivery is making a difference. Its great to see those of you coming to collect your meals and it’s exciting that the Olive Tree is reaching more and more people every week through its delivery service too.

Takeaway & Delivery is currently available
Thursday to Saturday – 5pm to 8:30pm
Sunday 12pm to 3pm

Delivery
All items, including your custom takeaway meal and drinks can be delivered within a 4 mile radius of the pub during takeaway hours.
You do need to spend a minimum of £18 and there is a £3.00 charge. Ordering is easy you simply select delivery instead of takeaway and select the time you would like to receive your meal. We come direct to you from the kitchen to ensure everything is piping hot, you wont be the 4th drop off of a route. Although we do our best to be prompt sometimes things do a bit wrong but if we are going to be noticeably late we will let you know in advance.

Our drivers are our lovely staff, or me if you are unlucky! They will be wearing a face covering and having knocked on you door will put the carrier bag(s) on the door step and step away. They will have to ask for age verification is alcohol is included in the delivery.

Seared scallops with crispy pancetta, fennel purée, sun-dried tomatoes & pea shoots.

How do you show your dad how much he means to you? You book him a table at his favourite pub in Sutton Green of course.. This is going to be the first Mother's or Father's day that we have managed to host in over a year and we are very excited!

Yum Yum. I hope that there still on the menu on Monday lunch and Tuesday too?

Looks scrummy!!!

**PLEASE READ** It has been amazing to re-open and see so many of your happy, smiling faces enjoying being back at The Olive Tree. Sadly the increase in demand and the national shortage of staff in the hospitality industry is hitting The Olive Tree hard too.

Currently we are two short in the kitchen and the chefs are pushed to their limit. I also feel we are currently unable to offer the level of service front of house that you deserve and are accustomed to at our pub.

What this means is, that I have had to come to the difficult decision of closing The Olive Tree all day on a Monday, starting on the evening of Monday 14th June (we will be open for lunch this day). This down time will not only give the staff a day off to relax and recharge but also means I don’t need to staff 15% of the weekly shifts.

This will be a temporary, short measure, with the aim to re-open fully, in time for the summer holidays, if not sooner. We will of course keep you informed.

In the mean time please keep joining us the other six days, we love seeing you and your support is vital.

Thank you for your understanding in these challenging times for the hospitality industry.
